Obtaining Multiple Copies of the Same Card

You will not receive more than one copy of a Legendary card, until you have owned all the Legendary cards in that card expansion. Similarly, you will not receive more than two copies of any Common, Rare, or Epic card until you have owned two copies of all cards of that rarity in that card expansion.

For example, if you have two Knife Jugglers (rare card from the Classic set) you will not receive another Knife Juggler until you’ve owned two of every other Rare card from the Classic set.

Crafting a card counts towards owning it, and any cards you disenchant (whether golden or non-golden) count as well. This means that if you get a card that you don’t want, you can disenchant it and you will not receive it again until you have all cards of that rarity from that card expansion.

Cards that you disenchanted before March 26, 2020 do not count towards duplicate protection.

Receiving many Common cards?

The rules that protect you from receiving multiple copies of the same card do not affect the overall distribution of rarities in each pack. This means that you are still only guaranteed to obtain one Rare (or better) card per pack.

For example, even if you have all the Common cards of the set, your packs will still contain common cards. Having all the common cards doesn't mean your packs will have more Rare, Epic, or Legendary cards. You are, however, guaranteed to not obtain a third copy of a Rare or Epic card until you have two of every other Rare or Epic card on the set.
