The Battle.net desktop app cannot access required login files to connect to the Blizzard service.

Windows

  1. If the game or the Battle.net desktop app is set to always run as administrator or run in compatibility mode, this may cause launching errors. Right-click the game or Battle.net, select Properties > Compatibility, and uncheck Run this program in compatibility mode and Run this program as an administrator.
  2. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.

Mac

  1. Repair Disk Permissions to resolve any permission conflicts with logon modules.
  2. Reset Folder and File Permissions to make sure there is no conflict between the latest OS update and your permissions.
  3. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
