Common Problems

If your region is currently patching or undergoing maintenance you may not be able to update. Check BlizzardCSEU_EN on Twitter for breaking news and information on our services. If there is no maintenance in your region follow the steps below to resolve this error.

  1. Check to see if any games or the Battle.net desktop application are updating.
  2. Restart your computer to resolve problems caused by programs and services running in the background.
  3. Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
  4. Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections.
  5. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
  6. Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
Advanced Troubleshooting
  1. Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module.
  2. Check your network configuration to find any issues with your firewall, router, or port settings.
  3. If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
  4. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Battle.net App may resolve rare launcher issues.
  5. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game.

Note: World of Warcraft addon managers can prevent Agent from updating game files. Disable or temporarily uninstall these programs.
