Common Problems
- I socketed the wrong gem into my weapon.
- I put my gem into the wrong armor piece.
- I put a second legendary gem in my off-hand and now I can't wear it because I didn't realise the gems are Unique-Equipped
Once you place a gem into a socket, this cannot be undone. There is a pop-up window in the game that warns you that the action is irreversible before completing the socket. The only way to destroy gems is to replace them with a new one. Some vendors may also offer special gem replacements for sale which can be used to replace legendary gems such as those from Wrathion's questline during Mists of Pandaria.
Customer Support cannot remove gems from sockets, nor restore the gem that was previously in the socket.
